Chinese Paper Cut Competition

1 Feb 2017 – 120 civil servant from Ministry of Home Affairs took part in ArtStories Chinese Paper Cut workshop where they were required to create a poster using paper cutting techniques to create an artwork for competition. There were four winners in the team of 12.

The second in charge was skeptical about men creating creative works but eventually it was the all men’s group that came out top! We should always give credit to all human beings and not subject their creativity to only women or children that can be creative. This is still a negative mindset that Singaporeans adopt. As creative makers, we must continue to shape and inspire even the narrowest of mindset to think positively to express oneself in a creative way.

May the year of the Rooster propel everyone to scratch the dirt off the ground and make way for a better you!
