String Art & Chinese Paper Cut

21 & 22 June – They crowded around me to listen to the hammering of nails onto wood pieces and could not wait for me to complete my instructions or my demo piece to start. Some worked in pairs, others did their own individual pieces. Nails, strings, wood flanks, papers, glue, scissors, masking tapes were flying all over the room in which we spent a total of four hours working with our hands in full force. Everyone wanted to create an expression of their thoughts, idea or emotion. Some had difficulty expressing themselves and therefore took a longer time to receive an idea. They were helping each other out, from the very young of age 6 years old to the very old of age 86 years old. Graciousness, compassion and kindness were exhibited when everyone came together to create powerful art. A truly fulfilling two days.
