10th July – We has 3 workshops for public; teaching them paper cut, coffee art and string art. Participants sat at our tables, worked on these art pieces and walked away with their own art piece.
In String Art activity, many of them used symbols like heart, star, house to represent the values that were important to them. They shared their love for these values to me. In the Coffee Art workshop, many drew cartoon characters and expressed that they were able to capture their favourite cartoon characters and now able to relate them with the smell of coffee. Paper Cut activity was purely to teach participants about the various folding techniques found in Chinese paper folding history. They enjoyed learning the various cultural references and engagement with the other participants.
